On 22nd November, 2024, we at Levellers Foundation were invited at the Shrama Empowerment programme by Ethos Foundation and hosted by Priyadarshini Institute of Architecture and Design studies to moderate the Shrama circle for 40 construction workers. Our founder, Ms. Samruddhi S Chaphale along with team members Shivangi Prasad and Kewal Rewatkar participated in the initiative to converse and mentor the construction workers in order to understand their problems and give probable solutions around it. We discussed the importance of Labour day, various welfare schemes, about their day to day living, childrens' education, safety measures and its importance on the site and such other relevant topics that needs attention.
ShramA Story circle for construction workers moderated by Levellers foundation for Walk for Arcause was a great collaboration to work towards our shared goals for construction workers and for a more equitable society.
We thank Gita Balkrishnan specifically for noticing our work and giving us this platform. Together we can! We had a great time participating in the event and spreading our skill set for the betterment of the society. Here's to more!
